Vincent Tonagel

Vincent Tonagel brings a unique blend of technical expertise, investment acumen and unrelenting work ethic to the AVSM Capital management team. A licensed Professional Engineer (PE #42447) with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University, he has over​ a decade of experience at a Major Oil & Gas Company,​ managing multi-million-dollar projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.​ ​ He found a passion for alternative investing and sophisticated wealth management in 2018 when called upon to manage​ a family investment portfolio during an emotional and financial transition. From this challenging life event came his desire​ to master these alternative wealth strategies which are​ not discussed in school or general daily life.​ ​ Over the years, countless hours have been spent with friends and family teaching these strategies, investing together and uncovering the limitless opportunities available in the world of alternative investing. As a result of these efforts, a partnership was formed and AVSM Capital was created to bring Institutional grade investments, with meticulous risk management and robust returns to friends, family and all investors willing to embrace the alternative landscape to secure their family's financial future. ​

Nicholas Soileau

Managing Partner

Nicholas Soileau's path to the AVSM Capital management team,​ from a traditional aspect, is one that challenges the established route perceived by many to enter the alternative investment space. His professional career did not begin until after the completion of deployments with the United States Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) campaigns 3 & 4 with an infantry battalion. ​ Once stateside, he continued his education at Louisiana State University and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in 2008 while progressing in the health care sector (with a finance focus) and managing two businesses. ​ ​ In 2010, his transition to the oil and gas sector set the stage for his professional development. For the previous 14 years, Nicholas has been an analyst for a major operator managing billions in capital expenditures yearly as well as being an owner of a franchise whose footprint covers thirty-nine states and has over 300 locations. In the interim, a couple of key investments paved the way for his entrance into the alternative investment space managing his own portfolio​ with a blend of real estate, merchant private lending, private capital, mineral interest, and institutional banking partnerships. ​ ​ His focus has and always will be capital/principal preservation first and foremost, the acute mitigation of risk into each investment combined with assets collaterally backed or in preferred positions.
